All of my work is created with hand painted images on paper. I then hand cut and layer these paintings. While integrally abstract, my work evokes ideas of landscape. I take inspiration from specific locations in California  to create works that celebrate the vibrancy of this state.

Each piece in my current body of work is inspired by a specific place in Northern California. I have created pieces inspired my experience on the Bolinas Ridge Trail, the Russian River and China Beach in San Francisco, among other locations. I am creating images that portray the feeling of simultaneously walking though and flying over these places throughout the day and night. I find that there is a strong creative, almost ecstatic, pulse emitted by the space in and around the Bay Area. I use my experience in these places to drive my art practice.
